L’azione di patrimonializzazione sul territorio biellese: il DocBi – Centro Studi Biellesi

Il territorio biellese ha costantemente rivestito un ruolo di notevole importanza nel contesto dell’industria tessile, soprattutto nel corso del XIX secolo, quando Biella e le zone circostanti si popolarono di numerosi stabilimenti e opifici.

Questa ricerca, e in particolare la mappatura realizzata, si pone l’obiettivo di identificare tutti gli attanti della complessa realtà biellese ed evidenziare la rete di connessioni tra di loro, prestando attenzione alle azioni di patrimonializzazione che riguardano il territorio biellese. Punto di partenza di questo articolo è rappresentato dalla tesi magistrale in Architettura Costruzione Città al Politecnico di Torino, discussa dall’autrice nel marzo 2024, con il titolo Changing. Indagine transdisciplinare sul patrimonio industriale biellese.

 

The patrimonialization in the territory of Biella: the DocBi – Centro Studi Biellesi

The territory of Biella has consistently played a significant role in the context of the textile industry, especially during the 19th century, when Biella and the surrounding areas became populated with numerous industries. 

This research, especially the mapping, aims to identify all the actors within the complex reality of the territory of Biella and highlight the network of connections among them, paying attention to the patrimonialization that concerns this territory. The starting point of this article is represented by the master’s thesis in Architettura Costruzione Città at Politecnico of Turin, presented in March 2024, entitled Changing. Transdisciplinary investigation on the industrial heritage of Biella.
